As a member of Gen X who breathed all the leaded gasoline and still finds these people appalling, I think blaming their shit on lead poisoning is giving them a pass they don’t deserve. Lead may have made us all a little dimmer and angrier, but it didn’t turn most people into raging assholes, crooks or fascists, or gullible MAGA cultists. These people would have done it anyway, with or without the lead.
Valid, but the leaded gasoline argument greatly invalidates geriatrics and the old guard to undermine everything they have to say or have ever said.
