Indie studios are actively harmed by GenAI as well, given that if their content gets fed into MidJourney they don’t have the resources to battle in court. So I think if GenAI faces more scrutiny as a whole and laws are put in place to stop people profiting off material generated on copyrighted material, the only people harmed are those pumping out AI slop to make a quick buck - which I’m happy with

Like to be clear I don’t like Disney and I have a lot of grievances with copyright laws at large. But a broken clock’s right twice a day and I think they’re based for doing this

I think Tumblr is still fun! It’s not as lively anymore and the staff suck, but no algorithm means you really only see stuff you choose to see and the tag blocking makes it so easy to curate your experience.

Not quite discovered but I recently started making popcorn at home and it’s so good!! Before I only ever had popcorn at the cinema (where I don’t go often anyway), but as it turns out buying corn kernels and making it myself makes for a cheap and tasty snack. Less recently, I tried eel sushi and really liked it!! Shame I only know of one restaurant that does it though

Great!! Whiskey went to the woods and dog park every day for the past week - except today because we ran into a boar in the woods and had to run back lol so no dog park either (as it’s on the other side of the woods). He’s also been sleeping on my mum’s bed every night lately which is very cute! She doesn’t live here but has to stay an extra few weeks due to an injury that needs healing - and Whiskey is very happy about it because he loves his grandma (｡･ω･｡)ﾉ♡
