She’s not wrong but it sounds a bit hollow coming from someone worth millions.

I mean the bit about people being addicted to greed. Not the mass murdering bit.

I’m honestly fine with millionaires, especially those who actually produce something of value to society— and within the purview of a truly progressive tax system.

Millionaires != Billionaires. That is, there are three orders of magnitude difference between a million and a billion.

      • 1 Million seconds is 11 days.
      • 1 Billion seconds is nearly 32 years.

Finally, I’ll take someone speaking the truth from their position of power than spreading lies and hate.

      Edit:

As a bonus to drive the point home: compare when you double each of those values: 22 days vs. 64 years, and so on…

      Moreover:

      • 1 Trillion seconds is 31,709 YEARS.
      • The known wealth of the 750ish billionaires in America (not counting corporate coffers and near-billionaires) is around 7 Trillion dollars.

Imagine what we could do as a nation with that sort of money just sitting at the top, going either unspent or toward wasteful garbage or political bribery.
