I still have zero respect of MTG. She made her turn of face while still in office where her vote could have affected real change, but instead she immediately resigned. If she had started voting to match her new rebrand then perhaps there would be something to undo all the partially damage she’s done while in office, but no. She quit instead.

She’s all talk just onto her next grift, and she thinks the left are her new mark.

I’m assuming this is way back when there was the isreal missile shield vote. MTG was part of the opposition to it, AOC basically argued it was purely defensive so we should back it. IMO that’s one of AOCs worse takes on a subject that I’ve seen, when otherwise I would say I like AOCs stances 95% of the time.

If we want to make any progress a lot of people are going to have to get over the idea that every politician has to be perfect 100% of the time on every issue.

I don’t know why AOC voted the way she did, and I don’t care.

If I agree with someone 51% of the time, I’ll vote for them.

Escaped slave Frederick Douglas supported Abe Lincoln over a candidate who was pushing for immediate abolition of slavery. Douglas knew that it was better to win and be able to influence the sitting President than to lose and have no power.

Unfortunately, as a legislator sometimes you have to vote for something you’re against in order to get something you’re for. She’s not stupid, so there is definitely some hidden pressure there.

I don’t see anyone “cheering her rebrand”. I for one cheer good stances and ideas. Will I say Thomas Massey has good policies and should be voted for… absolutely not. Will I say he’s right when he says we need the facts about the epstien files, yes.

I’ll agree with a good policy, or a correct idea from anyone’s mouth, while holding whether they should be voted for on the totality of their actions.

It’s important to remember that she is one giant, giant motherfucker. Being Anti-Trump doesn’t mean she cares about anything other than herself, but I’ll give her credit for seeing the shifting winds before the crowd.

I think it was the death threats from Trump supporters that led to her leaving. Nothing is real to these fuckers(except antifa, forced sex changes, etc…) until it happens to them.

The reason she’s anti-trump is because he wouldn’t support her campaign for Senate.

MTG is still a terrible, selfish person. She can be right for the wrong reasons.

And we can appreciate the hyenas eating themselves without supporting them. They’re simply stealing our talking points while not even taking them far enough.

“Being anti-trump is so brave! Like…Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens!” Yeah, not the entire left who were, once again, correct all along. Nah, instead they’ll grift each other and start supporting JD Vance from the looks of it, trying to paint him as the “sane one” or whatever bullshit they’re trying.

MTG has completely 180d on most of her policies in the last twelve months, so at this point disagreeing with MTG is disagreeing with AOC most of the time, at least in the headlines and posts.

For anybody else who is unaware.

It seems more that she’s grown aware and upset that Trump hasn’t kept his campaign promises that she agrees with.

She’s not marching under an ally flag anytime soon, just softening her rhetoric and laying low till Trump gets off her back for “betraying” him in demanding the Trumpb Epstein files be released (which was her and Trump’s position prior to the presidential election).

She started spewing ivermectin once the Hantavirus news was coming.

She didn’t 180 anything. She agrees with YOUR opinion every once in a while, not the other way around.

        She didn’t 180 anything…

Nope, you are completely wrong there.

MTG reads the New York Times now, has 180d her stances on health care, trump, women’s rights, democratic legislation, inflation, supporting the war, foreign policy in general, the military budget, mass deportation, she’s reading about history she was absolutely clueless about before, she’s 180d on a bunch of stuff the past year.

          Don’t get played.

If she had actually changed she wouldn’t have resigned; she’d have stayed in Congress and fought them.

She slid out at the perfect time. She’ll be a well paid talking head in the midterms and go on a lucrative lecture tour afterwards. She’ll probably run in the 2028 primaries and go into the Convention with enough support to make a great deal for herself.

When it was advantageous for her to play the rube she played the rube. Now she is playing at reform.

                You’re all playing yourselves.

You’re terrified of being hoodwinked by someone who complains about Jewish space lasers.

If you like MTG, that’s your thing, but don’t pretend I do when I explicitly said otherwise.

You guys are plainly wrong on current publicly available political facts, so I’m setting you straight.

Depends on the messenger. If someone comes and tells me I look good and they love me, but it’s the person who’s been throwing their dog’s feces over my fence for the last year, the message is very much overshadowed by the messenger.
