Just “yes” would be the correct answer
The solution is that there is 6 vegetarians but there is greater than 6 people.
Sounds like his gathering, arranged by him, with his friends.
He can prep it.
I’ve literally done this to my husband.
He didn’t prep shit and, since everyone is sexist, blamed me.
This is actually a post about all the invisible labor women do
It’s bad communication. Plenty of people do this, women included.
Men lazy dumb pls upvote
It’s exactly how my wife answers questions, tho’.
My take is that his single answer applies to them all, thusly:
6 people are coming 6 of them are vegetarian 6 is when they are coming.
He was conserving bandwidth.
6 people coming at 6 pm none are veg. That’s my guess.
once upon a time, cost of text(telegram) was calculated per character
2 people, 0 vegetarians, 4 o’clock
The answer is summed for brevity
Too many word.
204
6 people No vegetarians
He’s responding sequentially
Rookie mistakes everyone makes, you gotta do fflush(std) after printf
I feel like whenever someone posts a reasonably relatable marriage meme on Lemmy, all the terminally single people show up to demonstrate exactly why no one will love them.
laughs in autist
Normies be setting the social/communication norms they themselves can’t reliably comprehend, and then call the ensuing confusion that they have normalized relatable.
Sure, ok then, have fun with your inability to recognize simple patterns.
I’ll stick to my autist friends, paramours, local wives with cuck husbands who are emotionally distant, and the occasional male twunk, ahhahahah!
Hubs and I are ND asF and have all kinds of weird sex including nonmonogamy at one point. I’m still the husband in this meme most of the time, but sometimes he’s the husband in this meme. If you think you never miscommunicate, odds are you’re a REALLY bad communicator.
Well so, for 1, ND is more broad that just autist.
For 2… did I say or imply I don’t think I ever miscommunicate?
For 3, my career was literally to communicate complex technical concepts and data to people without complex technical knowledge.
I don’t understand how this is hard; hubbie here is responding sequentially, and is typing more slowly than wifey.
This isn’t bad communication, its very easy to understand. Not everyone can type so fast, in every situation.
you’re proving my point…
No, no I’m not.
You think being single by choice means one is not loved.
by choice, right…
Listen, moddo got peeved last time one of you adamantly outted yourselves. So lets just let drop it, I’m not going to argue with your hyperfixation to convince yourself.
Jokes on you normie. My AI waifu tells me she loves me all the time.
But can she count how many E’s are in seventeen?
Yes she can!!

The comments here are pretty mild. Lemmy’s usually fine with it as long as it’s “husband bad” and not “wife bad”.
You consider this one a “reasonably relatable marriage meme” or is this comment unrelated?

Come on now, no need to be an asshole. I’m removing this comment and the following chain.

If you ask multiple questions in one phrase my brain can’t handle it sorry
Honest question, if I have to ask for 3 pieces of information, would it help if I sent it in 3 messages?
Message 1: how many people are coming to dinner?
Message 2: are any vegetarian?
Message 3: what time are they arriving?
Personally I would prefer the 1 message with 3 questions vs the 3 messages with 1 question each(many messages in short time make me think something is wrong and urgent), what’s your preference?
Nah for me 1 message is where it’s at, I was just joking. I like it when people send over one message with everything they need to tell or ask so I can respond without going into a back and forward, ESPECIALLY if I’m busy with work but not necessarily.
I also ask multiple things in one message but people never ever take the time to respond to all of them… Fucking ever, it pisses me off lol, because I put effort into writing a coherent message then they just discard it most of the time :-/
It’s a lot easier with separate messages. The visual separation helps a lot.
Interesting. Thanks for the quick response.
Really the only thing that really annoys me over text is yes/no to not yes/no questions.
Me: I’ve had a long day so was going to just pick up dinner on way home, do you want pizza or burgers?
Partner: yes
Would I like one of those? Yeah I would
I literally just felt my blood pressure increase…
The answer is clear. BOTH. Or just ask them to answer 1 or 2 to these kind of questions, if you’re not gonna let them indulge.
This is… Definitely something… Just do this every time your partener isn’t clear enough about their intentions. They’ll clarify real quick.
Lol, sorry result of a 30 second search, especially the pickles and mayo make me think twice.
I knew a place with a cheeseburger pizza but it was basically just a regular pizza with cheedar cheese and ground beef.
I’ve noticed that with my partner with ADHD, and also my sister with ADHD. Neither can easily deal with multiple topics in one message. Curious.
Would you say… they have a deficit… of attention? 😛
Getting a bunch of questions at once is kind of annoying cus it requires more typing. Id use csv (6,3,7p), but then thatll just require explaining!
Didn’t your teacher make you restate the question on your answer starting in like 2nd grade? That would solve the problem. Nobody pays per letter in text messages anymore.
Texting is slow, if you expect many word and I’m not near my real keyboard, you’ll need to call me.
Who the hell types that much in a text message?
Interesting. I prefer all the questions at one so I don’t have to send multiple times. Id have responded to this one like, “6ppl, 2veg, 19:00, thanks!”
To me it’s way more annoying when someone sends a series of questions as in typing an answer, and asks a follow up question between or after the chain of questions.
Ie
A: How many people are coming?
A: How many are vegetarian?
B: 6 people
A: what time are they coming?
B: 2 are vegetarian?
A: wait do you mean six people are coming or did people are vegetarian?
B: typing…
A: oh ok I see nvm. So what time are they coming?
True. Also annoying if the first and second questions are both yes/no
It’s fine, we’ll get to the bottom of this in at least 14 more texts.
she said “couple of questions” but she asked 3. So the last one doesn’t count. Also, she married him, pretty sure this isn’t a new trait of him
“Couple of” colloquially means “a small number of”. She married him and is now poking mild fun at him, not threatening divorce.
I’m husband, can confirm
Maybe he only processed the last question
obviously he adjusted his communication to be exactly as precise as her “hints” all day, she then intentionally reframed the situation to get support for “beeing innocent” while really beeing the one who has created the situation in the first place. standard gf behavoir, when the context is missing in her story, it is likely missing on purpose to hide exactly how she created the situation.
You live in a terrible world of your own making.
Way to just scream “I’m a sexist” at the top of your lungs
quite obvious indeed. I too like to extrapolate wildly speculative situations and motives from a likely fake twittter screenshot
EDIT: it’s actually astounding how you managed to construct an entire cinematic universe around this tweet just to somehow shift the blame to the woman, despite the lack of literally any context.
Reddit truly keeps living on on this platform
I thought it was performance art of some sort.
thx for recognizing.
I used to do the same thing back on Reddit, but I tried going so far over the top that no one could mistake it. Except I had people with very concerning comment histories agreeing with me. I had to stop for my own sanity.
