So I hate women because I’m attracted to women?
EfreetSK@lemmy.worldOPto Wikipedia@lemmy.world•Erotic art in Pompeii and HerculaneumEnglish1·14 days agoAh! I didn’t even know about this community, thanks! I crosspost there
It’s actually very simple
- Fry onion on oil
- Add 1kg of any mushrooms (in my case it was oyster mushrooms + champignons, roughly 1:1 )
- Fry a bit until mushrooms reduce their volume
- Add 3 tbsp of ground paprika, a bit of ground cumin, salt and black pepper
- Cover the pot and cook for 10 min
- Add mixture of 200 ml almond milk + 200 ml soy cream + 2 tbsp of flour
- Cook uncovered for another 10 min
- Done. The dumplings are just a mixture of 350g of flour and 300 ml of water (and salt)
And it was absolutely delicious :) I was actually surprised how good it turned out
EDIT: Original recipe in Slovak if it helps. I did some changes though (f.e. replaced butter with oil or used regular flour for dumplings)

Oh, typo :) Thanks, fixed
This. To put it simply, people respond better to what’s familiar and to what has a clear goal. F.e. if you’re about to open a restaurant, don’t sell power tools in it. If you want to sell powertools, create a separate store
I’m from the 90s and can confirm this is true
EfreetSK@lemmy.worldto Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL that from 1264 to 1827, anyone who received a Master of Arts degree from Oxford had to swear that they would never forgive Henry Symeonis. By 1608, no one knew who he was or what he had doneEnglish38·2 months agoYes but only because of a guy in 1910s who looked into it
The identity of Henry Symeonis was only (re-)discovered in 1912 by the then Keeper of the University Archives, Reginald Lane Poole. In an article for the English Historical Review, he looked at the curious statute and tried to get to the bottom of the Henry Symeonis mystery.

My 2 cents:
- I think that saying was about democracy, not capitalism
- Bear in mind that US is a capitalist lunapark. Most developed countries understood that social policies are absolutely necessary for people, even though we could call those countries a “capitalist country” or countries “based on capitalism”. Just saying that don’t take what’s happenning in the US as a base because it’s not
- If we’re about to start to brainstorm about different systems - bear in mind that (not all but many) people are greedy, proud, jealous and sometimes assholes. And personally, I have a really hard time to design a system that would handle all those wonderful human treats in some decent way
P.S. I was born in socialist Czechoslovakia and its goal was noble but … it’s amazing to watch human greed and jealousy to take over a system like socialism

But I can buy anything with fiat curency and with bitcoin I can basically buy nothing. And I never will be able probably, bitcoin is too slow to be used as an actual curency to buy common things like groceries
Why waste time like this? Wouldn’t it be better if cinemas would use vertical screens where a popular youtuber would describe the plot of the movie in like 30 seconds while talking at 2x speed?
The opposite, I always sleep with blanket on even if I don’t want to. In summer I fall asleep with blanket on my side and wake up fully covered in blanket. And sweating like a pig
Hey! I’m not balls!
