Someone make a smartphone that isn’t a steaming pile of shit then. The pinephone was so close but struggled with SMS when I tried it.

This kinda shit is why I go to Aldi instead. They give everyone the same low prices. Tesco have their clubcard and seeing how much more they want to charge me for not having one puts me off ever going there on a regular basis.
Also under 18s can’t get these loyalty cards here so fuck you I guess you have to pay a load more.
So are you saying its better to let them suffer?
I think at this point euthanasia would be the best option.
Hah, my country stole all the best food. I am British.
I assumed this is why Musk is tweaking algorithms to show more positivity now that he is president
Tbh not surprised. In 2012 I got my first smartphone, it ran Android. At first I thought it was just like a PC. Within half an hour I was fed up at how useless it was.
Can’t even open a terminal window and apt install apache, what a load of junk.
Tried a pinephone and that is almost perfect but it struggled with SMS. If that was more reliable I think it would be the perfect phone.
Just run adnauseam on its own. I use it too, my thinking is that I am going to be tracked anyway. So instead of trying and almost certainly failing at avoiding it, you just overwhelm them with so much random data that it becomes worthless.
Fortunately I don’t need that either. I live in a town in the UK and work remotely. I can buy everything I need by cycling to the shop and on the rare occasion I do need to go into the office (few times a year) I can cycle to the train station in a nearby town and then take the train to the city our office is in. A 2 hour commute isn’t really an issue when its only a few times a year.
Someone was asking me what my dream car would be. I don’t want a car. No no but if you had unlimited money what car would you buy? I wouldn’t. No it doesn’t cost you anything, you can have it for free! Yeah, I just don’t want one.
Tbh I thought they would have already gone subscription by now. When they announced win11 after saying 10 was the last I was very surprised it wasn’t either free or subscription based. Now I wonder if they will at some point release win12 with AI tools behind pro and make that subscription only.
I use Linux so I won’t be touching it but will see how it goes. Usually end up having to know at least a little about this as people ask me to fix their windows PCs
Don’t think I have ever seen a lifeguard at the beach where I live, no one seems to care and happily swims there.
